Michael Coates leaves Twitter to start his own company

Michael Coates resigns from Twitter - CIO&Leader

Michael Coates, the former CISO at Twitter has announced his departure from the company. He had joined Twitter in 2015 and since had been in-charge of data protection on the platform.

Prior to Twitter, he had been an Advisory Board Member at Blackduck Software and was also part of the Global Board of Directors for OWASP Foundation. He has also worked for companies like Shape Security and Mozilla Corporation in Directorial capacity.

Michael is now on his way to start his own firm. He made this announcement on Twitter although the news of his departure had been creating a buzz for the past few weeks.
