Role of Government

Countries can change this shortfall in critical cyber security skills by increasing government expenditure on education, promoting gaming and technology exercises and pushing for more cyber security programs in higher education.

Future Plan

Human shortage can be filled by technology soon, as 55% of respondents believe that, in five years, cyber security solutions will be able to meet the majority of their organization’s needs. They also said they will respond to in-house talent shortages by expanding their outsourcing of cyber security. The solutions most likely to be outsourced are the ones that lend themselves to automation and include threat detection (networking monitoring and access management).
